Wolfgang Tillmans is an artist based between Berlin, Germany, Fire Island Pines, USA, and London, UK. In 2018, he worked on the set design for English National Opera’s staging of War Requiem (1962) by Benjamin Britten.

In Shanghai this year, a friend showed me a copy of my book, Burg, from 1998, which has sat on her bookshelf for many years. The enthusiastic bookworms were well into it. We met in a bar and the disco lighting helped our celebration of printed matter. Happy frieze 200!
