Hollybush Gardens was founded in 2005 by Lisa Panting and Malin Ståhl.
The gallery occupies a building in Clerkenwell, London and supports an international and intergenerational array of artists. Alongside the gallery’s exhibition programme, Hollybush Gardens produces exhibition publications, online content, talks, performances and events in support of the artists’ multidisciplinary and critical practices.
The gallery remains committed to curating and to the production of discourse in dialogue with artists. Our roster of artists is intergenerational and inclusive, bringing together diverse voices, disciplines and practices.
Gallery artists are represented in a broad range of private and museum collections worldwide and have participated in many prizes such as the Turner Prize (Lubaina Himid, Charlie Prodger, Andrea Büttner), Maria Lassnig Prize (Lubaina Himid), ars viva Prize for Visual Arts (Jumana Manna), Prix de Rome (Falke Pisano), Jarman Award (Kirshner & Panos, Charlie Prodger, Claire Hooper), The Suzanne Deal Booth / FLAG Art Foundation Prize (Lubaina Himid), Swiss Art Awards (Reto Pulfer), MaxMara Prize for Women (Andrea Büttner) amongst others.
Our priority is to support artists through ongoing conversation, to establish artists' practices internationally, to build original platforms which cultivate inclusive, intellectual exchange, and to place artworks in leading curatorial programmes and institutional collections.
